What's Happening?
The Climate Ambassador Accelerator 2026 is now accepting applications for its virtual training program, designed to equip professionals, educators, and policymakers with the skills to facilitate climate events using the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator.
Running from August 4 to September 4, 2026, the program combines self-paced online courses with live Zoom sessions led by climate experts. Participants will learn to use En-ROADS to explain complex climate systems and lead workshops for decision-makers across various sectors. The program is donation-based, ensuring accessibility for all interested participants.
Why It's Important?
As climate change continues to pose significant global challenges, the need for informed and effective climate leadership is more critical than ever. The Climate Ambassador Accelerator provides participants with the tools to engage diverse audiences in meaningful discussions about climate solutions. By training individuals to use the En-ROADS simulator, the program empowers them to explore and communicate the impacts of different climate policies, fostering a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of climate systems. This initiative supports the development of a new generation of climate leaders who can drive policy changes and promote sustainable practices across various sectors.
What's Next?
Participants who complete the program will be equipped to organize and facilitate their own climate workshops and simulations, potentially influencing policy decisions and corporate strategies. The skills gained through the accelerator can be applied to a wide range of professional contexts, from government and business to education and civil society. As climate advocacy becomes increasingly important, similar training programs may emerge, further expanding the network of climate leaders. The success of this initiative could also lead to the development of additional resources and tools to support climate education and engagement.
