The state of Utah has purchased a $40 million campus in West Valley City to serve as the future headquarters for the Department of Health and Human Services. The property, originally built for FranklinCovey,
spans 21.7 acres and includes five buildings totaling over 300,000 square feet. The acquisition was brokered by Colliers, with Chris Kirk, Colliers managing director, highlighting the rarity of such properties becoming available. The deal, which closed in mid-July, represents one of the largest recent commercial real estate transactions in Utah. The campus includes amenities such as a cafeteria, fitness center, and auditorium. The relocation process is expected to take several years, as the department undergoes a programming study to determine the best way to consolidate its headquarters into the new space.
