The University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) has announced a new pilot program aimed at integrating industry research into doctoral training for STEM students in the United States. This initiative,
known as the Industry-Integrated PhD (I-PhD) Scholars Program, is co-funded by the National Science Foundation and participating companies and universities. The program will support up to 250 students over four years, requiring them to spend at least one year conducting research at an industry site.
