Sister Robertus Fields, RSM, has passed away after serving as a Sister of Mercy for 78 years. She was a devoted daughter to Mary Inez nee Smith and Charles E. Fields and a cherished sister to several siblings, including Sister Mary Pauline Fields, RSM, and Sister Alithea Fields, RSM. Sister Robertus was a longtime elementary school teacher in Illinois and Wisconsin and volunteered at Misericordia. Her Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for October 14th at Mercy Chapel in Chicago, with private inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials are requested to be made to the Sisters of Mercy.
