Taiwan has revealed the anti-ship capabilities of its new Mighty Hornet IV attack unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) 2025. Developed in collaboration with the US-based Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, the Mighty Hornet IV is designed as a high-speed, precise stand-off strike weapon. It is based on Kratos' MQM-178 Firejet target drone and is intended to perform multiple roles, including acting as a decoy and target drone during peacetime. The UAV features a modular design and is capable of high-speed maneuvers, with a service ceiling exceeding 35,000 feet.
