What's Happening?
The Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) has bolstered its workforce by adding over 40 newly trained personnel. These recruits are set to be deployed across the city to manage traffic and apprehend violators. TEAM's department head, Hyll Retuya,
emphasized the need for additional enforcers, particularly in critical areas, to ensure effective traffic management and law enforcement. The new personnel have undergone a comprehensive training program, which includes practical exercises and tests, to prepare them for fieldwork. This initiative is supported by the Mandaue City Government under Mayor Thadeo Jovito 'Jonkie' Ouano, who has facilitated the hiring of these new personnel.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of TEAM's workforce is crucial for improving traffic management in Mandaue City, which faces challenges due to a shortage of enforcers. By increasing the number of personnel, the agency aims to enhance its capacity to address traffic violations and maintain order on major roads. This move is expected to benefit the city's residents by reducing traffic congestion and improving road safety. The support from the city government highlights a commitment to addressing urban traffic issues, which can have significant implications for local economic activities and quality of life.
What's Next?
The newly trained personnel will soon be deployed to various locations across Mandaue City. They will work alongside experienced enforcers to gain practical experience and further develop their skills. TEAM plans to continue providing special training sessions in collaboration with the Land Transportation Office and local traffic ordinance orientations. This ongoing training will ensure that the enforcers are well-equipped to handle the dynamic challenges of traffic management.
