Cedric Cornelius Shivers, a 31-year-old man from the Quad Cities, has been sentenced to three years in federal prison. This sentence follows his unauthorized departure from a residential reentry center in Davenport, Iowa, where he was required to reside due
to a prior conviction for possessing a firearm as a felon. Shivers was apprehended on March 15 in East Moline, where he resisted arrest and caused serious bodily injury to an officer. The sentencing was announced by the Southern District of Iowa United States Attorney’s Office.
