Sandbar, a new company founded by former employees of CTRL-Labs, has introduced the Stream Ring, an AI-powered smart ring designed to record and transcribe voice notes. The device, which emerged after
two years of development, allows users to whisper into the ring to capture thoughts, which are then transcribed into text via the Stream app. The ring features a capacitive sensor for recording and can also control media playback. It is waterproof and does not store audio, ensuring privacy. The Stream Ring is available for preorder, with prices set at $249 for silver and $299 for gold, and is expected to ship in the summer of 2026.
