The original Czech Jawa, which is officially known as Jawa Moto, has unveiled a brand-new motorcycle for global markets, the Jawa 730 Twin. This is not a model developed by Classic Legends, which sells Jawa bikes in India under a licensing agreement, but the 730 Twin comes straight from Jawa’s base in the Czech Republic and it represents a bold step into modern motorcycling while keeping the same classic DNA alive.
Retro design, modern attitude
At first glance, the Jawa 730 Twin looks like a neo-retro motorcycle, which is a bike that blends old-school styling with new-age hardware. The round headlamp instantly reminds you of classic Jawa motorcycles, while the compact fuel tank and exposed frame give it a rugged and sporty feel. Unlike pure retro bikes
that focus only on looks, the 730 Twin clearly wants to be ridden hard. Its muscular build and minimalist bodywork place it closer to today’s mid-size naked motorcycles, but with a classic touch.
Strong twin-cylinder enginePowering the Jawa 730 Twin is a 730cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine which produces a 74 bhp, which is a serious performance for a motorcycle with retro styling. To make the bike accessible to younger riders in Europe, Jawa is also expected to introduce an A2-compliant version, where power will be limited to 47 bhp, as required by European licensing laws.

Premium hardware and features
The chassis setup is equally impressive, as suspension duties are handled by KYB with an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock. Braking is taken care of by twin front discs with Brembo callipers, supported by Bosch dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, giving it a planted and sporty feel. On the tech front, the 730 Twin gets a TFT instrument cluster with modern connectivity features such as navigation, call alerts, and SMS notifications.
Will it come to India?
While the Jawa 730 Twin looks exciting, it is not clear whether it will be launched in India. The Indian Jawa lineup is managed separately by Classic Legends and this Czech-developed motorcycle follows a very different product strategy. The 730 Twin is an important sign that the original Jawa brand is serious about making a global comeback.
