Kawasaki has given the Ninja 125 and Z125, which are its entry-level sport bikes, a fresh update for international markets. These are the smallest bikes in Kawasaki’s popular Ninja and Z series lineup,
which are designed mainly for beginners who are just starting their riding journey.
What’s new is that the bikes haven’t changed mechanically, but they now come with new liveries, meaning fresh paint and graphics that make them look even more sportier and more eye-catching. Think of it like giving your favorite bike a cool new color but the performance stays the same, meanwhile the style feels brand-new.
Both bikes use a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 15 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 11.7 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm, which means the bikes offer just the right amount of power for beginners that is enough to feel sporty, but not too intimidating.

The design has taken heavy inspiration from their bigger siblings, as the Ninja 125 carries the sharp, fully-faired sporty look, while the Z125 goes for a naked, aggressive streetfighter style. Both models feature 17-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on both ends, telescopic front forks, and a monoshock at the rear for stability and comfort.
Kawasaki has also added features like a fully-digital instrument cluster, ABS (anti-lock braking system) for safer braking, and the Ergo-Fit system, which lets riders adjust their seating position to suit their comfort for riding the bike.
Weighing around 150 kg with a seat height of 785 mm, these bikes are light and manageable, making them perfect for new riders. In fact, in Europe, they are especially popular with A1 license holders, who are new to sports or big-bike riding.
Looking at the price, Ninja 125 starts at £4,699, which is around Rs 4.90 lakh, while the Z125 starts at £4,299, around Rs 4.51 lakh in international markets. However, it’s unlikely these models will be launched in India any soon.
