Hero MotoCorp will pull the wraps off its maiden flex-fuel bike for India tomorrow, i.e., June 3, 2026. Currently, we don't know the name or specs of the much-awaited flex-fuel motorcycle, but industry reports indicate that it could be based either on the HF Deluxe or Hero's highest-selling commuter, the Splendor. Both bikes are regarded as one of the most comfortable picks in the commuter segment. Here's a closer look at what you can expect from the Hero MotoCorp Flex Fuel Bike in India.
Hero MotoCorp Flex Fuel Bike: What Can Customers Expect?
The Hero flex-fuel motorcycle will be compatible with E20 all the way up to E100 (100% ethanol). It will serve as a cleaner, more sustainable mobility companion for conventional petrol commuter users across India. The rise of fuel prices and global crude volatility
has become a primary catalyst for daily riders shifting toward alternative energy sources. With the upcoming Hero bike launch, buyers can expect Hero to retain the highly practical, reliable, and fuel-efficient nature of its Flex Fuel commuter to help daily riders save on running costs.
Hero MotoCorp Flex Fuel Bike: HF Deluxe Or Splendor?
Hero has not revealed the base model for its upcoming Flex Fuel bike in India. The two likely candidates are the Splendor and the HF Deluxe. The automaker had already showcased the HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel prototype at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January 2025. Among the two potential models, it is anticipated that Hero will launch the Flex Fuel version of the Splendor in India. This is because the best-selling commuter carries unmatched popularity and widespread acceptance among both young and experienced daily commuters in the country. Regardless of the final model, Hero is expected to focus on a motorcycle that appeals to the mass market rather than a premium niche segment.
What Could Change On The Flex-Fuel Version?
Mechanically, the flex-fuel motorcycle is expected to receive several modifications to handle ethanol-rich fuel blends. These may include:
- Ethanol-resistant fuel lines and seals
- Revised fuel injectors and fuel pump
- Corrosion-resistant engine parts
- Revised ECU mapping for different ethanol blends
- Minor calibration changes to keep high performance and efficiency
