Vietnamese automaker VinFast appears to be gearing up for a major launch again which is a 7-seater electric MPV that could rival the Mahindra XEV 9S and Kia Carens Clavis EV. This upcoming model, named
the VinFast Limo Green in Vietnam, has already been spotted testing on Indian roads, which hints at the debut soon in the Indian market.
The Limo Green is designed as a modern, spacious and efficient electric people mover. According to information available on VinFast’s Vietnamese website, the model combines contemporary styling, advanced features and practicality, making it ideal for large families, corporate fleets and ride-sharing businesses.
Design
The Limo Green stands 4,740 mm long, 1,872 mm wide, and 1,728 mm tall, with a 2,840 mm wheelbase, dimensions that put it on par with high-end MPVs in the Indian market. From the inside, the car promises a roomy three-row seating layout designed for comfort during long drives. The seats can be adjusted to maximize space and the large windows enhance visibility and the sense of openness.
Exterior highlights include sleek LED DRLs, dual-tone ORVMs and black wheel arch claddings which gives the MPV a balanced mix of elegance and sportiness. It rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, adding to its commanding road presence.
Electric Powertrain And Performance
Powering the Limo Green is a 150 kW (205 hp) electric motor delivering 280 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.13 kWh battery pack. The EV promises an impressive 450 km range (WLTP) on a single charge. VinFast claims the battery can be charged from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger.
The company might offer an eight-year or 1,60,000 km battery warranty, similar to its Vietnam offerings. While official confirmation for India is pending, it’s likely that the Indian version will feature the same NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery technology for enhanced efficiency and durability.
Tech And Comfort Features
The upcoming MPV is expected to offer a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and a four-speaker audio system. Other features include single-zone automatic climate control, ABS with ESC, multiple airbags and rear parking sensors.
To enhance comfort, VinFast has equipped the Limo Green with a multi-link rear suspension, ensuring stability on Indian roads. With its flat floorboard, 27.2-litre under-seat storage, and large cabin space, the Limo Green seems tailor-made for urban families and commercial users alike.
Local Assembly and Availability
VinFast is expected to assemble the Limo Green at its Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu, alongside its other EV models - the VF 6 and VF 7. The company has also initiated its VGreens charging network, which offers free charging access to VinFast EV owners in India.
We expect it to launch in late 2026 with an estimated expected price of Rs 30 - 35 lakh (ex-showroom).
