The Suzuki Hayabusa remains one of the most celebrated names in the world of high-performance motorcycles. Priced at Rs 18.06 lakh (ex-showroom, India), it continues to uphold its reputation as an icon.
Under its sculpted fairing lies a 1,340cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The DOHC motor delivers 190 hp and 142 Nm of torque, sending power through a six-speed gearbox. Performance remains staggering, with the electronic speed limiter cutting in at 299 km/h. Suzuki claims a mileage of 18 km/l for the Hayabusa.
The bike’s chassis setup balances agility and stability, using a twin-spar aluminium frame mated to high-spec suspension. The front features inverted telescopic forks with coil springs and oil damping, while the rear gets a link-type setup offering progressive feedback. Together, they make the Hayabusa feel planted.
