Maserati's just revealed mid-life updates for the GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale, bringing more power, a longer-range electric option and some styling tweaks across the board. What actually matters here for Indian buyers isn't the facelift itself, it's that Maserati's expanding its dealer network in the country at the same time, with Navnit Motors about to start retail operations in Mumbai alongside its existing Delhi and Bengaluru outlets. That timing's worth noticing if you're already keeping an eye on this brand, even though nothing about an India launch for these specific updates has been confirmed yet.
When Will The Updated GranTurismo And Grecale Reach India?
Honestly, there's no date yet. Maserati already sells the GranTurismo, Grecale and MCPura here, so bringing in a refreshed version
of two of those down the line wouldn't be a stretch, but for now it's still unconfirmed rather than imminent.
What's Actually Changed On These Cars?
Power's up on the GranTurismo and GranCabrio, their twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine now makes 590 hp on the top Trofeo trim, a 40 hp jump from before, thanks to higher turbo boost pressure. The electric Folgore versions stick with the same 92.5kWh battery and three-motor layout but now claim 540 km of range, up 90 km, done by adding a system that disconnects the front motor when it's not needed. The Grecale SUV got its own refresh too, including a new 390 hp V6 Nettuno option and a reworked front end. Both ranges also pick up new steering wheels, a redesigned digital clock as well as a system that watches for driver fatigue.
Could The India-EU FTA Affect Pricing Here?
Maybe, and it's worth keeping tabs on. Maserati's reportedly waiting on more clarity around the India-EU free trade agreement, which could bring down import duties on European cars by a meaningful margin. Ferrari's already started taking India orders at prices roughly 30 per cent lower in anticipation of that deal going through, and if Maserati ends up doing the same, the eventual India price on these updated models could come in noticeably below what current GranTurismo and Grecale buyers are paying right now.
