Tata Motors is all set to unveil one of its most awaited SUVs the all-new ‘Tata Sierra’ today. This SUV enters the highly competitive mid-sized segment, which already includes strong players like the Hyundai
Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. This SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 15 -20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Features
Over the past few weeks, Tata Motors has shared multiple teaser videos, giving a glimpse of what the new Sierra will offer. One of the biggest highlights is the triple-screen dashboard layout. This includes a digital instrument cluster for the driver, a main touchscreen infotainment system and even a dedicated entertainment screen for the front passenger, which is something usually seen in luxury SUVs.

The SUV will also include modern features like touch-sensitive controls, a 360-degree parking camera for easier manoeuvring and dual-zone climate control to keep passengers comfortable in all weather conditions. The interior will use a stylish black and grey theme for a clean, premium look.
Engine
In terms of engine, Tata is preparing to offer something different. The biggest highlight is the expected debut of Tata’s brand-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol Revotron engine, which is likely to deliver strong performance and high fuel efficiency. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be offered right from launch, and higher variants may even get a smooth wet-clutch DCA automatic gearbox.
For those who prefer diesel power, the Sierra will also come with Tata’s trusted 1.5-litre turbo-diesel Revotorq engine, already popular in other Tata SUVs for its punchy performance. Tata will also launch the electric version of the Sierra on the same day, offering buyers a clean, powerful and future-ready alternative.
Safety
Safety has always been one of Tata’s strongest points, and the Sierra is expected to continue this legacy. The SUV is likely to come with Level 2 ADAS, which adds features like automatic emergency braking and lane support. Alongside this, it will include six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist and more. Tata may even aim for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
With modern tech, multiple engines, a rugged design and strong safety focus, the new Tata Sierra is set to launch officially on November 25, shaping up to be one of the most exciting SUV launches of the year.
