Tata Motors has given a much-anticipated update to all three Tiagos (the Petrol, EV, and CNG) in India. The updated ICE version starts at Rs 4.69 lakh, while the Tiago EV is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh. The CNG variant is priced from Rs 5.79 lakh. These are starting and ex-showroom prices. The Tiago ICE and EV have received a sharper front fascia and a more upmarket cabin. Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital driver display, dual wireless chargers, rear AC vents, a 360-degree camera, and connected car technology. Note that the features vary based on the powertrain and model selected.
2026 Tata Tiago Petrol Is Your Everyday Workhorse
When it comes to the tried-and-tested everyday workhorse partner, Tiago petrol remains the most straightforward pick among the three options. It is
powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine producing 86hp, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The engine has been around for a while and has held strong repute for its fuel efficiency and low-maintenance. The petrol variant is available across six trim levels (Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+ A, Creative, and Creative Plus). If you clock moderate daily kilometres, and don't want to go fully electric or find CNG station availability, then the petrol Tiago is the one for you. It also has the lowest starting price in the lineup.
2026 Tata Tiago CNG For Maintaining Lower Running Costs
People who drive a lot and want to keep running costs as low as possible can opt for the CNG variant. The car uses a factory-fitted i-CNG setup producing 75.5 hp and 96.5Nm, and is offered with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT. The AMT variant now comes with paddle shifters, a first in its segment. The drop in power compared to the petrol version seems a fair tradeoff, as the CNG claims significant savings on fuel. If you run 60–80 kilometres a day within city limits and have easy access to CNG stations, this variant makes a good option.
2026 Tata Tiago EV For Urban Buyers
The Tiago EV is the most updated version of the three and is arguably the biggest draw of the most recent launch. It is offered with two battery options (19.2 kWh and 24 kWh) and has a claimed range of up to 285 kilometres, as well as charging speeds that are 40% faster than before. It gets a new dashboard with a free-standing display, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitoring.

Tata is also offering it with a Battery-as-a-Service option, because of which the entry price has come down to Rs 4.69 lakh - the same as the base petrol - for those who prefer to pay for the battery separately. If your daily ride is mostly urban and you have access to home charging, the Tiago EV offers the lowest cost per kilometre of the three options.
