The brand-new Nissan Gravite is all set to make its official India debut on February 17, 2026. The upcoming MPV will be Nissan's entry into the sub-4-metre MPV segment with a locally-built seven-seater
offering. The Gravite moniker has already been confirmed for the new model, and it will be based on the Renault Triber's CMF-A platform. The brand will position Gravite as a practical and family-oriented MPV. However, unlike the Triber, this Nissan model will sport brand-specific styling cues and badging while retaining the mechanical layout of its platform sibling. Pricing and full specification details will be revealed closer to launch, with deliveries to follow shortly thereafter.

Nissan Gravite: Expected Price
Several industry reports indicate that the Nissan Gravite may carry a starting ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 6 lakh. The top-spec variants could be priced closer to Rs 9-Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) price band. These figures are currently just estimates and reflect Gravite’s positioning against models like the Renault Triber and other seven-seater MPVs in the budget segment.
Nissan Gravite: Engine And Performance
Nissan has not yet officially confirmed the mechanical details. However, the Gravite is expected to employ the same engine as the one found on the Triber. This 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol unit puts out about 71 hp of maximum power and 96 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox options on duty will be a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic manual transmission. There might also be a turbo petrol engine on offer when the car arrives.
Nissan Gravite: Features And Equipment
Based on the fact that the Gravite will share its platform with the Renault Triber, expected features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, multiple airbags, LED instrument cluster, modular seating, AC vents in all rows and ABS with EBD. Nissan is likely to tailor the feature set to Indian family buyers. This mean the brand aims to balance usability with cost.

Nissan Gravite: Positioning And Rivals
The Nissan Gravite will be a part of compact MPV segment. It will take on the likes of the Renault Triber, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and Kia Carens. Its sub-4-metre footprint keeps it eligible for lower excise duties, which will help Nissan offer competitive pricing. In short, the Gravite’s February 17 debut will set the stage for Nissan’s broader growth push in India with expansion beyond its existing lineup.
