In a bid to expand the appeal of the Syros family car to a wider audience, Kia India has now announced a new trim level called the HTK(EX). The introduction now offers buyers the option to choose from seven different trim levels and offers premium variant styling and comfort elements to the more budget-conscious buyers. The new HTK(EX) variant is based on the HTK(O) entry-level variant and here's everything that Kia has upgraded for the new trim level.
The new Kia Syros HTK(EX) variant offers several updates over the base variants. These include the LED DRL, headlamp and taillamp setup, 16-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, flush door handles, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, electric ORVMs and rear parking camera with sensors. Additionally,
the Syros HTK(EX) customers will also get the option to choose a diesel engine option at a slight premium. Other highlights of the Syros HTK(EX) include over 20 safety features such as 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, hill start assist, electronic stability program, vehicle stability management and more. It also has a 5-star crash safety rating from Bharat NCAP.
Kia has launched the new Syros HTK(EX) variant at Rs 9.89 lakh ex-showroom with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and Rs 10.63 lakh ex-showroom with the 1.5-litre diesel engine. With both offering a 6-speed manual transmission, the petrol engine produces 118 hp and 172 Nm of torque and the diesel engine produces 114 hp and 250 Nm of torque.

This makes the new Syros HTK(EX) variant an attractive proposition as it offers an additional engine option and high-end features such as an electric sunroof, alloy wheels and infotainment touchscreen more accessible at an approximately Rs 1.22 lakh premium over the base HTK variant's Rs 8.67 lakh ex-showroom price tag. Kia has also launched the HTK(EX) variant for those customers who are looking for a 7-seater MPV, with its recently launched Carens Clavis. Customers get the benefit of high-end features in a budget-friendly package with prices below Rs 13 lakh ex-showroom.
