Vietnamese EV maker, VinFast, has seen consistent growth in demand for its two new electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF7, in India. Since its launch in September 2025, VinFast managed to surpass well-established
brands such as Hyundai and Kia in terms of monthly EV sales in December 2025. However, the automaker has now removed the introductory price offers that had been in place till now and this has led to a price increase of up to Rs 1.30 lakh on VinFast electric vehicles. Find out the new price details here.
VinFast currently offers the VF6 mid-sized SUV and the VF7 premium SUV in India. The VF6, being the more affordable one, was the bread-winning model with a starting price of Rs 16.49 lakh ex-showroom. However, the official website now indicates that the introductory prices have been removed. This has led to the starting price of the VF6 Earth variant jumping to Rs 17.29 lakh ex-showroom. That is an Rs 80,000 increase in the starting price. Similarly, prices for the Wind variant have been increased by Rs 80,000 and Rs 90,000 for the Wind Infinity variant.
The new prices for the VinFast VF6 are as follows, the Earth variant is priced at Rs 17.29 lakh, Rs 18.69 lakh for the Wind variant and Rs 19.19 lakh for the Wind Infinity variants. All prices indicate the ex-showroom value.
Moving on to the more premium VF7 electric SUV, it earlier had a starting price of Rs 20.89 lakh for the base Earth variant, which has now been increased to Rs 21.89 lakh. Similarly, the Wind variant price has increased up to Rs 24.69 lakh, Wind Infinity to Rs 25.19 lakh and the top-end Sky Infinity to Rs 26.79 lakh. All prices indicate ex-showroom value. These prices indicate an increase of between Rs 20,000 and Rs 1.30 lakh across VF7 variants, post the removal of the introductory offer.
It remains to be seen whether the price increase will prove disadvantageous to VinFast's ongoing sales, which had surpassed those of well-established brands in December 2025, according to VAHAN data. With the latest price increase, the VF6 has now become considerably more expensive, which may not bode well with VinFast's early adopters.
