Italian supercar maker Ferrari has unveiled the new Ferrari HC25, a one-off model based on the discontinued F8 Spider. Revealed during Ferrari Racing Days at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, the HC25 has been developed under Ferrari’s Special Projects division for a single client. What makes this car important is its foundation: the F8 Spider was Ferrari’s last open-top mid-engined model powered by a non-hybrid twin-turbo V8. The HC25 combines that mechanical setup with an entirely redesigned exterior, updated lighting signatures as well as bespoke cabin detailing, while retaining the original platform and performance package.
Ferrari HC25 Gets Completely Reworked Exterior
Although based on the F8 Spider, the Ferrari HC25 receives redesigned body panels with a more angular and geometric
look. Ferrari says the project was created to bridge older V8 Ferrari styling with newer design themes seen on models like the Ferrari F80 and Ferrari 12Cilindri.
One of the most noticeable elements is the gloss-black section running across the middle of the car and engine cover. Ferrari says this section integrates the radiator intakes and heat extraction systems while visually separating the front and rear sections. The side profile also introduces an arrow-shaped design flowing from the rear haunches towards the doors and rear screen.
The HC25 debuts slim bespoke headlamps with vertically stacked boomerang-style DRLs. This marks the first time Ferrari has used a vertical daytime running light setup on a production-based road car. At the rear, the supercar gets slim LED taillamps, a redesigned diffuser and twin trapezoidal exhaust outlets. It is finished in matte Moonlight Grey paint and rides on bespoke five-spoke alloy wheels.

720hp Twin-Turbo V8 Retained From F8 Spider
Powering the HC25 is the same 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the F8 Spider. Ferrari states the engine produces 720hp and 770Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox driving the rear wheels. Claimed performance figures include 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds, 0-200kmph in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 340kmph.
Dimensionally, the HC25 measures 4,758mm in length, 2,006mm in width and 1,183mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,650mm. Ferrari has not disclosed pricing, though Special Projects models are typically produced in single-unit form with extensive customer involvement during development.
