The Hyundai Verna is one of the top players in the Indian midsize sedan market, and is now gearing up for a mid-life revamp. Recently, several spy shots have surfaced, showing test mules of the facelifted Verna near Chennai, indicating cosmetic tweaks and feature upgrades before its expected launch next year. The basic silhouette does carry over with changes expected in lighting, bumpers, and cabin features. Hyundai is most likely to retain present engines, laying stress more on design improvement and technological advancement. Here’s a closer look at what the Verna facelift could bring for buyers.

Hyundai Verna Facelift: Expected Styling Tweaks
The new spy images reveal clear changes at the rear end. The connected full-width
light bar will most probably be retained, but the internal graphics of the taillamps have been updated. It gets a new design for its lower bumper, making it broader and more squared-off than before. From the front, Hyundai seems to bring in a detailed updated grille, sharper headlamp elements, and a new bumper as well, though camouflaged heavily to prevent a complete view. The side profile shall continue with no major changes, keeping the current alloy wheel designs for now.
Hyundai Verna Facelift: Interior And Tech Upgrades
Tech and comfort features are what the Verna facelift is going to upgrade. According to several industry reports, the revamped sedan will have a bigger infotainment screen, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well. Front seats with ventilation may be included in the upgrade. A rear wireless phone charger may also make its way inside, along with a panoramic sunroof. Moreover, Hyundai may equip the new Verna with its digital key feature.
Hyundai Verna Facelift: Mechanical Setup
Under the hood, Hyundai is expected to retain the existing engine lineup: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. Transmission options should remain the same, with a CVT offered for the NA version and a dual-clutch (DCT) or automatic for the turbo model. In short, no radical mechanical changes are expected.

What Buyers Should Watch Out For
The new look for the Verna will probably bump up its price just a bit, but Hyundai plans on keeping it attractive in the mid-size sedan game. What matters most to buyers are the sleeker looks, better tech inside, how well it really drives as well as its actual mileage-not just what’s claimed. Should Hyundai get the cabin and style upgrade right while holding onto that value tag, this new Verna might stick around at the top even though SUVs keep muscling in on sedan territory.
