Performance and Range

The Windsor EV comes with two battery options - a 38 kWh pack offering an ARAI claimed range of 331 km and a larger 52.9 kWh battery delivering up to ARAI certified 449 km on a single charge. Both versions are powered by a 134 bhp electric motor producing 200 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels.

MG offers a 3.3 kW AC home charger and an optional 7.4 kW fast charger that can fully charge the battery in about 6.5 hours. Using a DC fast charger, the Windsor can recharge from 0–80% in just 45–50 minutes, depending on the variant.

Drivers can choose between Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport modes to balance performance and efficiency. The regenerative braking system offers three levels - light, normal and heavy, to optimize energy recovery during braking.

Design and Dimensions

Measuring 4,295 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, and 1,677 mm tall, the MG Windsor is slightly more compact than typical mid-size SUVs but offers generous cabin space. The 2700 mm wheelbase and 186 mm ground clearance make it suitable for Indian roads. The 5-seater cabin includes 135-degree reclining rear seats, leatherette upholstery in top trims, and a flat rear floor for added comfort.

Features and Tech

The Windsor EV is loaded with tech features. Depending on the variant, it offers either a 10.1-inch or a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Top trims come with a panoramic glass roof, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) plus Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities which means it can even charge other EVs or devices.

Safety and Warranty

MG hasn’t compromised on safety as it is equipped with 6 airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and a 360-degree camera are standard. Higher-end “Pro” variants come equipped with Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

Buyers also get MG’s 3-year/unlimited km vehicle warranty and a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner.
