If you are a daily commuter who wishes to beat the traffic and is planning to buy a fuel-efficient scooter, then Suzuki’s upcoming e-Access might just be what you are waiting for. Though it hasn’t launched
in India yet, Suzuki has revealed plenty of exciting details about this electric version of its popular Access scooter, and it’s shaping up to be a strong rival in the growing Indian EV market.
Colour Options
The Suzuki e-Access looks and feels much like the regular Access 125 but is powered entirely by electricity and will be available in three colour combinations according to the brand-
- Metallic Matt Black with Metallic Matt Bordeaux Red
- Pearl Grace White with Metallic Matt Fibroin Gray
- Pearl Jade Green with Metallic Matt Fibroin Gray
Battery
The soul of any EV is its battery and Suzuki has gone the extra mile here, as the e-Access uses LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries instead of the usual NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) ones. Because LFP batteries are safer, last longer and can handle rough conditions better. In fact, their life cycle is 2–3 times longer which means your scooter’s most expensive part will serve you for years.
Suzuki also built a secure battery box into the frame for extra protection against water, heat and shock. The e-Access has been tested to the same rigorous standards as Suzuki’s big bikes like the Hayabusa, including submersion, crush and temperature tests, which means it is designed to perform in real-world Indian conditions as well.
Performance
The e-Access produces 4.1 kW of power and 15 Nm of torque, delivering 95 km of range (as per AIS 040), which offers smooth acceleration with a realistic riding feel. Suzuki’s SDMS-e system provides three drive modes and even regenerative braking, which recharges the battery slightly when you slow down. In fact, unlike other scooters that lose power as the battery drains, the e-Access maintains constant performance, due to its intelligent inverter that balances output as the battery charge drops.

Convenience and Low Maintenance
The scooter runs on a maintenance-free belt drive, which doesn’t need lubrication or frequent adjustments, unlike traditional chains or CVT belts. Suzuki claims this belt can last up to seven years or 70,000 km, which makes it three times more durable than regular ones.
Charging is easy, too, with a fast charger, it can go from 0 to 80% in just 1 hour and 12 minutes, and a full charge takes a little over 2 hours. Using a portable charger at home, a full charge takes around 6.5 hours, perfect for overnight charging.
Dimensions and Comfort
Despite being electric, the e-Access remains practical and comfortable. It is compact with a 160 mm ground clearance, 765 mm seat height and weighs 122 kg which is ideal for city riding and daily commutes. The telescopic front suspension and oil-damped rear ensure a smooth and bump-free experience.
Suzuki’s focus on craftsmanship shines through in every element from its quiet, belt-driven transmission to its LED lights and alloy wheels. The brand’s philosophy of “high quality and superior drivability” clearly reflects in this electric scooter’s design.
