Maruti Suzuki has once again been spotted testing the upcoming Brezza facelift on Indian roads, but this time the compact SUV was seen alongside a heavily camouflaged mystery utility vehicle. The latest sightings indicate that the company is preparing multiple updates for its SUV and MPV portfolio ahead of 2026 launches. Spy videos and road test images reveal fresh design elements on the Brezza, while the second test mule has sparked speculation around a possible new-generation Ertiga or an all-electric family vehicle. For Indian buyers, these developments are important because the sub-4 metre SUV and MPV segments together account for a significant share of passenger vehicle sales in the country.
Brezza Facelift Could Get Bigger Tech And Mechanical Changes
The test mule of the updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza
continues to retain its familiar boxy proportions, but camouflage points to revisions at both ends. Reports suggest the SUV may receive redesigned bumpers, updated LED lighting signatures, fresh alloy wheels as well as changes to the grille design.
Interior upgrades are also expected including a larger infotainment screen replacing the current 9-inch unit. Some reports indicate Maruti Suzuki could introduce a 10.1-inch touchscreen similar to newer models in its portfolio. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, revised cabin trims, and ventilated seats are also being discussed.
Mechanically, the Brezza may see one of its biggest updates since the second-generation model arrived in 2022. Spy reports hint at a possible 6-speed manual gearbox which would be a first for Maruti Suzuki’s Indian passenger vehicle lineup. There is also speculation around the inclusion of the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine currently seen in the Fronx overseas. Another notable detail is the underbody-mounted CNG tank spotted during testing, potentially freeing up more boot space than the current dual-cylinder setup.

Mystery Utility Vehicle Raises Questions Around Maruti’s Next Launch
The second camouflaged vehicle seen with the Brezza appears noticeably larger and taller, suggesting MPV-like proportions. Reports indicate two possibilities. One is a heavily updated next-generation Ertiga expected later in 2026. The other, and more likely option according to some reports, is that it may be Maruti Suzuki’s second EV after the e Vitara.
While Maruti Suzuki has not officially confirmed details, the latest sightings show the company is accelerating work on both ICE and EV products as competition intensifies across India’s SUV and family vehicle segments.
