How Do I Verify The E-Challan Details?

to the official portal — eChallan.parivahan.gov.in — and enter your vehicle number or challan number to view the violation details. Check the registration number, date and time, location of the alleged offence and the description. If any one of these items is incorrect or you know you were not at that place/time, that is your starting point to contest the irregularity.
What Evidence Should I Gather?
The strength of your complaint depends on supporting evidence. Useful material includes parking receipts, toll-booth slips, or fuel bills showing your location, dashcam footage, CCTV clips and smartphone GPS logs. The clearer the proof that you or your vehicle were not involved in the recorded violation, the higher your chances of a favourable outcome.
How To Submit An Online Grievance?
Visit the grievance section on the e-Challan portal. Fill in your name, contact details, vehicle and challan number, select the type of error (wrong vehicle number, incorrect offence etc.), and upload your evidence. After submission, you will receive a reference or ticket number. Use this to check the status via “Ticket Status” on the same portal.
Can I Also File A Complaint Offline Or Via Email?
