The Honda City facelift has finally been launched in India at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 11.99 lakh, which is the same as its predecessor. It is a part of Honda's extensive future product strategy, as the company has confirmed plans to introduce six new models in FY26-27. The City facelift is accompanied by the much-awaited ZR-V with strong e:HEV technology, which has also made its India debut for the first time. Here's what the new Honda City brings to the table for modern sedan lovers in the country.
Honda City Facelift Design
The Honda City has undergone a significant change at the front. The look is more sharp and sportier than before. The redesigned fascia has smoked-out headlamps, which are LED. There's also a connected LED light bar, which makes the updated
City more in sync with Honda's global design language. The light bar also acts as the daytime running light (DRL). Another major update is the addition of a camera mounted below the Honda logo for a 360 degree camera and Level-2 ADAS. On the side, the new diamond-cut alloy wheels round off the changes. However, the rear stands with taillamps revised with a sharper internal lighting pattern, and a tweaked bumper. The sedan City offers six colour options, including an all-new Black shade for a more sportier feel.
Honda City Facelift Interior and Features
Honda has retained the familiar dashboard layout but made a few thoughtful changes. The car gets a larger touchscreen infotainment system (65% more larger), which is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The addition of fresh upholstery and trim finishes further add to a new look.
In terms of safety, the 2026 iteration continues to pack six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a blind-spot monitoring system. The car also boasts a Level-2 ADAS.

The new Honda City has the same petrol and hybrid engine options currently on sale. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine produces 119hp and 145Nm, and is available with either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Honda has also retained the strong-hybrid powertrain (1.5 litre NA petrol-hybrid). The latter claims a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.26 kmpl, which is touted to be the highest in its segment.
