Rohit Sharma's New Ride: Tesla Model Y
The Tesla Model Y added to Sharma’s collection is painted in Stealth Grey and reportedly carries the registration
number “3015”, a custom plate combining his children’s birth dates, which totals to his iconic jersey number 45. Brought in as a CBU import, the Model Y is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
This electric SUV comes with a Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) setup, driven by a single motor, capable of making 299 hp and 420 Nm of torque. The Standard Range variant includes a battery pack rated at 60.5 kWh, good enough to travel up to 500 km per full charge. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and offers top speed of 201 km/h.
On the other hand, the Long Range RWD variant carries an even larger battery pack of 75 kWh, extending the range proposition to 622 km. This model churns out 340 hp, delivering torque output rated at 450 Nm; it's faster than the Standard version as it can do 0-100 km/h in about 5.6 seconds. However, the top-speed stays the same as base variant.
