BMW X6 Bookings Open In India Ahead Of Launch – Here's What To Know

BMW is set for an another big launch in India, following the M440i Convertible. Called the BMW X6, the Coupe-SUV will arrive in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), and is expected to fetch somewhere around Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom). The previous version of the X6 was discontinued in India back in 2023, so the upcoming new model, in the M60i xDrive, version, will be the car's return to the country. It will go head-to-head against a range of popular models in the segment, including the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, Audi SQ8, and Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe. As the bookings for the model are now officially underway, here's a quick look at its key details.

BMW X6 M60i xDrive Engine

The upcoming X6 Coupe-SUV will use BMW's 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol mated to a 48V mild-hybrid

system, which produces a whopping 523hp and 750Nm. The motor employs an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends all that power to all four wheels through BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The car claims to go from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds, and has a top speed capped electronically at 250km/h. Other key features of the X6 include M Sport brakes with four-piston front, rear-wheel steering, an electronically controlled rear differential, and callipers.

BMW X6 M60i xDrive Features

The interior of the X6 looks like a premium living room on wheels. It sports a curved dual-screen setup, which combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. There's also a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a wireless phone charger. BMW has added ADAS for enhanced safety, with functions such as lane-keeping assistance, and automatic emergency braking, among others.

BMW X6 M60i xDrive Dimensions

The X6 M60i xDrive is a comfortable Coupe-SUV measuring 4,960mm in length, 2,004mm in width and 1,700mm in height. It has a 2,975mm of wheelbase and a boot capacity of 580 litres. The ground clearance of the model stands at 216mm.

The official price will be announced closer to the launch date, which is expected within the coming weeks.
