Brabus, which is the famous German luxury and performance tuning house, has once again pushed the limits of what an already premium car can do, and this time, it has revealed the Brabus 900, which is a heavily upgraded version of the Bentley Continental GTC Speed.
The Bentley Continental GTC Speed is already one of the most powerful and luxurious convertibles in the world, as it combines a powerful petrol engine with hybrid technology to deliver smooth performance and better efficiency. Brabus has worked on this foundation and transformed it into something far more aggressive, without removing the original hybrid setup.
Powertrain
Brabus 900 is equipped with Bentley’s 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor as part of
the factory-fitted hybrid system. In standard form, this setup is already very powerful, but Brabus has reworked almost everything around it. The tuner has installed new turbochargers, revised boost pressure, a carbon-fibre air intake and completely recalibrated the engine’s software for fuel injection and ignition timing.
As a result, the petrol engine alone now produces around 700 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. When combined with the electric motor, total output rises to 887.6 bhp and 1,100 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Due to this output, the Brabus 900 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, which is supercar territory and the top speed is electronically limited to 285 kmph, which keeps the car safe and stable at very high speeds.
Design and Road Presence
The car features exposed carbon-fibre body parts, including aerodynamic elements that improve airflow and stability. It sits on 22-inch Brabus Monoblock ZM alloy wheels. A special lowering system reduces the ride height by around 20 mm, which makes the car look sportier and more planted on the road.
One of the most striking elements is the Brabus sports exhaust system, finished with four carbon-sheathed titanium tailpipes. The car shown wears a Pale Brown exterior paint.
Interior
From the inside, the Brabus 900 stays true to Bentley’s luxury roots while adding custom details, as the cabin is finished in rich “Nocturne Brown” leather, covering the seats, doors and trims. Brabus’s signature “Shell” quilting pattern and perforations add a handcrafted feel, while subtle Brabus logos are stitched into the upholstery. A Brabus-branded timepiece on the dashboard reminds occupants that this is no ordinary Bentley.
