Production of the Jaguar F-Pace has officially ended, bringing down the curtain on Jaguar’s final internal combustion engine model after a decade-long run. Introduced in 2016, the F-Pace was Jaguar’s first SUV and went on to become one of the brand’s highest-selling models globally. Its discontinuation is part of Jaguar’s wider strategy to transition into an all-electric luxury car brand. The end of F-Pace production also signals the close of Jaguar’s ICE era as the company prepares for a complete portfolio reset ahead of its next-generation electric vehicles.

Jaguar F-Pace: A Decade In Production
The Jaguar F-Pace entered production in 2015 and reached global markets in 2016, including India. Built primarily
at Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull plant in the UK, the SUV was positioned in the premium midsize segment. Over the years, it was offered with multiple petrol and diesel engine options, including performance-focused variants like the F-Pace SVR. The model received updates during its lifecycle, most notably a facelift in 2020 that introduced revised styling and upgraded in-car technology.
Final ICE Model From Jaguar
The discontinuation of the F-Pace is significant because it was Jaguar’s last remaining model powered exclusively by internal combustion engines. Earlier, models such as the XE, XF, and F-Type had already been phased out. Reports indicate that the final F-Pace units included high-performance versions like the SVR, marking the end of Jaguar’s V8-powered offerings as well. With this move, Jaguar has fully exited ICE vehicle production as part of its long-term brand transformation.
Transition To An Electric-Only Lineup
Jaguar has confirmed its plan to reposition itself as an all-electric luxury brand. The company is expected to introduce its first new-generation electric model in the coming years, followed by a completely refreshed lineup. This transition aligns with Jaguar Land Rover’s broader electrification strategy, which includes dedicated EV platforms and a focus on high-margin, lower-volume luxury products. The end of F-Pace production clears the path for this shift.

Impact On India And Global Markets
In India, the Jaguar F-Pace was sold as a premium SUV with petrol and diesel powertrains and remained a niche offering. With production now concluded, availability will be limited to remaining inventory, if any. Globally, the F-Pace exits as one of Jaguar’s most commercially successful models, closing a chapter that defined the brand’s entry into the SUV space and its final phase as an ICE-only manufacturer.
