Rahul Gandhi recently visited both BMW Welt and the BMW Plant in Munich, where he was extensively briefed about BMW production process and standards of its plants all over the world. BMW Welt is a combination of a delivery centre and an experience centre, showcasing innovative vehicles and technologies of the company.
Spotlight On BMW F 450 GS
A major highlight of the visit was the BMW F 450 GS, a soon-to-be-launched mid-capacity adventure motorcycle that has raised considerable interest all over the globe. The model has been developed via the BMW Motorrad–TVS collaboration, which equates to expertise in design and engineering from BMW plus manufacturing acumen from TVS Motor. The F 450 GS will likely be positioned below the BMW F 750 GS for those riders who want an even lighter, more accessible adventure bike.
India-Germany Engineering Collaboration
The BMW F 450 GS stands as an example of international teamwork, with TVS Motor having a major role in its development as well as production. Rahul Gandhi brought up this team effort, stressing the mark Indian engineering leaves on the world stage. The BMW-TVS partnership fruitfully rolled out models like the BMW G 310 GS and G 310 R, both made in India and sent off to many global markets.

BMW F 450 GS: When Will It Arrive In India?
The much-anticipated BMW F 450 GS is expected to launch in India early next year. The production is currently underway in TVS' Hosur plant, Tamil Nadu.
Coming to the mechanical side of things, the bike will be powered by a 420cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled unit. This engine is expected to put out about 48 hp of maximum power and 43 Nm of torque. The transmission duties will be handled by either a 6-speed manual or a semi-automatic gearbox.
