The Tata Punch price in India has been updated, with the SUV now fetching a little more than before across its petrol, turbo petrol and CNG variants. The price hike ranges between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000, depending on the variant and transmission option selected. The base Smart Petrol MT variant is now priced at Rs 5.70 lakh, showing an increase of Rs 5,000 from its previous price of Rs 5.65 lakh. The top-spec Accomplished Plus S CNG AMT now costs Rs 10.67 lakh, exhibiting a hike of Rs 7,000, compared to its earlier price of Rs 10.60 lakh.
For buyers looking to buy petrol manual
variants, it is important to note that every trim from Smart to Accomplished Plus S has become Rs 5,000 more expensive. The Turbo Petrol MT variants also have seen a similar price revision. As for Petrol AMT models, the price hike ranges from Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000. For buyers interested in the CNG option, the manual variants have become costlier by Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000, depending on the trim. The biggest increase is observed in the CNG AMT range, where all listed variants are now Rs 7,000 costlier than their previous prices.
It is worth noting that Tata has updated prices across the model range, including the Tata Safari and Nexon.
Tata Punch Engine
Tata Motors has kept the engine lineup unchanged for the Punch SUV, which continues to be offered with turbo-petrol, a naturally aspirated petrol unit and CNG. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, and has 118bhp of power. The 1.2-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 86.6bhp and is offered with both 5-speed manual and AMT options. The same unit is available with CNG, where it produces 72.4bhp. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
