The XUV700 has been the flagship ICE-powered SUV from Mahindra since it launched in 2021. Now with the brand's Born Electric models setting new benchmarks, the carmaker is due to give a facelift to the petrol and diesel-powered XUV700 as well. With several teasers out now, Mahindra has started accepting pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO at a token amount of Rs 21,000 and the SUV is expected to make its official debut on January 5, 2026. Based on the latest teaser visuals, here are the key features that are now confirmed for the 2026 XUV 7XO.
It has now been confirmed that the 2026 XUV 7XO will be the first ICE-powered Mahindra SUV to sport the triple-screen infinity display that we have seen in the brand's electric models, such as the XEV 9e and the more
recently launched XEV 9S. The setup included a digital driver information display, an infotainment touchscreen and a third entertainment screen for the front passenger.

The cabin will also be finished in a dual-tone theme and feature different tones from the brown shade family. It will further be accentuated by a warm tone for the ambient lighting that stretches from the door panels to the dashboard. Other confirmed details include an electrically powered 'Boss Mode' for the rear left-side passenger. This feature also comes from the XEV 9S and will appeal to the XUV's chauffeur-driven audience.
Other confirmed details include a complete redesign of the XUV's front and rear ends. This time around, it will feature the vertically stacked LED headlamps from the XEV range and the LED tailamps will be redesigned as well. Another key design highlight would be the front grille, as it would be the first time we get to see the XEV front design with a functional grille in an ICE version.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO (700) facelift comes at a time when several other competitors have launched new models or presented facelifted versions of their competing SUVs. The 7XO unveil will take place on January 5, 2026, and we expect to see several segment-best features being added to the ICE flagship from Mahindra.
