Skoda Kushaq Facelift To Renault Duster - Confirmed Launch Dates Of 5 New SUVs In January 2026

After achieving its best-ever sales in a calendar year (CY) 2025, with 44.90 lakh cars sold, the Indian automotive industry is all geared up to launch several exciting models in January 2026. We have already seen major launches such as the new Mahindra XUV 7XO and the 2026 Tata Punch, however, carmakers are far from getting off the throttle just yet. Here are five new SUV models set to launch in the coming days, ranging from the Skoda Kushaq facelift to the latest Renault Duster.

1. Skoda Kushaq Facelift:

The Kushaq has been a successful product from Skoda's India 2.0 lineup of cars that are based on the new MQB-A0-IN platform. It has remained largely the same since it was launched in June 2021. However, Skoda is expected to launch the revamped

Kushaq on January 19 in India. This time around, it will offer a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, refreshed styling and other updates.

2. Toyota Urban Cruiser EV:

Toyota is also geared up to launch its first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV) in India. The Urban Cruiser EV will be a mid-sized electric SUV and help the brand strengthen its foothold in the growing EV market, along with its portfolio of strong hybrid cars. The Urban Cruiser EV will be launched in India on January 20.

3. Nissan Gravite B-MPV:

Nissan is currently in the middle of executing a three SUV strategy for India. These will include an entry-level B-MPV, the Tekton C-SUV and a larger 7-seater SUV by 2027. The first to arrive will be the Gravite B-MPV, which is due to launch on January 21.

4. New Renault Duster:

Perhaps the most anticipated launch of January 2026, the new-generation Renault Duster SUV will arrive in India on the 26th. In its resurrection, the Duster will once again go up against old rivals such as the Hyundai Creta in the new age.

5. Volkswagen Tayron:

Volkswagen is all set to introduce the Tayron 7-seater SUV in India on January 28. As a successor to the Tiguan AllSpace, the Tayron will take it up a notch in terms of size, luxury and features. It is expected to be priced from Rs 50-55 lakh ex-showroom.
