Tata’s long-awaited Sierra is finally ready to make a comeback, and this time, the SUV arrives with a splash of colour, quite literally. Tata has confirmed six shades for the production model, each with travel-inspired names. The palette includes Andaman Adventure (a bright, sunny yellow), Bengal Rouge (a deep red), Coorg Clouds (a clean silver), Munnar Mist (a soft green), Mintal Grey, and the classic Pristine White.
The SUV is set to go on sale on November 25, and while prices are still under wraps, the Sierra is expected to land somewhere between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Given the curiosity the nameplate still carries, Tata seems to be positioning it as a stylish alternative to the usual suspects in the midsize SUV space.

The Sierra’s design stays true to the upright stance of the original but gives it a more modern, practical spin. Gone is the three-door body style of the iconic model; this new version uses a more familiar five-door layout. Up front, there is a full-width LED light bar, while the flush door handles and blacked-out pillars help the SUV pull off that floating-roof look. The top variants will get large 19-inch dual-tone alloys, giving the Sierra some street presence. Chunky wheel arches, roof rails, and a contrast black roof round off the visual package.
Step inside and things get even more interesting. Tata has loaded the Sierra with a triple-screen setup, a digital cluster, a central touchscreen and a dedicated passenger display, making the cabin feel properly futuristic. Soft-touch materials, metallic highlights, and an illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel are also present. Features like wireless phone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, and ambient lighting add to the cabin’s comfort and convenience.

Powertrain options are expected to include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol delivering around 165 hp and 280 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. A 1.5-litre diesel may also be on the cards for those who prefer the long-range efficiency of oil burners. Safety equipment should cover the essentials and more, with six airbags, ESC, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS features such as lane-keep assist and automatic emergency braking.
