Triumph Speed 400: Revised Price Breakdown

Triumph has confirmed that the new prices for its motorcycles in India came into effect from January 1, 2026, with the Speed 400 seeing one of the higher adjustments among its 400cc siblings. Earlier, the bike carried an ex-showroom price tag of close to Rs 2.34 lakh, which has now gone up to Rs 2.39 lakh. This marks a price increase of approximately Rs 5,000 and reflects the broader price correction across the brand’s range as it passes on the impact of the revised GST slab for bikes above 350cc.

Triumph Speed 400: Why Prices Have Increased

The price hike follows an update to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) structure last year, which now levies a higher tax rate on motorcycles with engine capacities exceeding 350cc. Triumph had absorbed this additional tax burden through late 2025 and offered special festive pricing on models such as the Speed 400 and Speed T4. From 2026 onwards, the company will pass these costs to customers, leading to the revised ex-showroom figures.

Triumph Speed 400: Features And Mechanical Details

Despite the price rise, the core specifications of the Speed 400 remain unchanged. The motorcycle is powered by a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, churning out around 39.5 bhp of maximum power and 37.5 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-assist clutch. Features continue to include USD front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, dual-channel ABS as well as traction control.
