MG Motor India has shared a fresh teaser video of its upcoming flagship SUV, the MG Majestor. The latest teaser gives a clear preview of the Majestor's design cues ahead of its February 12 debut. The model is positioned as a large, body-on-frame SUV and will sit above MG's current range. It will take on several popular full-size SUVs in the market such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. Speaking of the teaser, we can see the rugged and upright design approach. While technical details are still under wraps, this sneak peek has atleast hinted at what we can expect from the new model when it comes to design. Read on to learn more.

MG Majestor: Bold Front-End Design
The MG Majestor has a tall and imposing front fascia. In the teasers, a large, vertically-oriented grille dominates the front. This is flanked by slim LED daytime running lights which have been designed to sit higher on the bumper. The main headlamp units seem to be placed lower to provide the SUV with a split-lighting effect. This design follows the trend of larger full-size SUV focusing on road presence and visual width. From the teasers, the squared-off bonnet and upright stance indicate that this SUV places more focus on robustness rather than aerodynamic styling.
MG Majestor: Side Profile And Proportions
From the limited visuals of the side profile, we see that the Majestor has a boxy look with a long wheelbase and flat roofline. Also, it has very defined wheel arches and large alloy wheels which play up its SUV identity. The straight beltline and lack of rearward taper indicate a focus on interior space and practicality. That said the proportions of the car suggest it is put together to include three row seating and a very commanding driving position which we expect to be true of its class segment.
MG Majestor: Rear Design Elements
Coming to the rear profile, you can spot elements like vertical LED taillamps with a clean tailgate layout. They appear to be visually connected through design elements rather than a light bar. Other features include a chunky rear bumper and high-set tailgate.

MG Majestor: Expected Positioning
While MG has not confirmed technical specifications, the Majestor is expected to be based on a ladder-frame platform. This would differentiate it from MG’s existing monocoque SUVs and place it in direct competition with several body-on-frame rivals. On the mechanical side of things, you may see diesel powertrains. However, official confirmation from the brand is still awaited.
The February 12 debut is expected to reveal full exterior details, interior layout as well as powertrain information.
