If you are a superbike fan, here is some big news from BMW Motorrad India, as the premium motorcycle brand has increased the prices of most of its models in the country and not by a small margin, the hike goes as high as Rs 3.13 lakh on certain models.
What’s Happening?
BMW Motorrad has a wide range of premium superbikes in India, mostly big-capacity machines and with heavier taxation now in place, most of these models are more expensive than before.
But, two BMW models actually got cheaper: BMW G 310 R which is the entry-level roadster and BMW C 400 GT, which is the maxi-scooter. Every other bike in the BMW Motorrad lineup has seen a price hike.
Which Bikes Got Costlier?
- BMW F 900 GS hiked by Rs 95,000 and now costs Rs 14.85 lakh.
- BMW F 900 GS Adventure’s price increased by Rs 1.04 lakh and now priced at Rs 16.14 lakh.
- BMW S 1000 R, which was launched at Rs 19.90 lakh, has seen a price hike of Rs 1.37 lakh and now costs Rs 21.27 lakh.
- BMW M 1000 XR Competition saw the steepest hike of Rs 3.13 lakh and now costs a whopping Rs 48.63 lakh.
Interestingly, the price increase on the M 1000 XR is more than the cost of an entire G 310 R superbike.
The brand’s website
now also lists the BMW S 1000 XR again, which is priced at Rs 24.53 lakh. Prices for other high-performance ‘M’ models like the M 1000 R and M 1000 RR haven’t been updated yet.
