Owning a Kia car just got more worry-free for owners in India as the Korean automaker has announced an upgrade to its Extended Warranty Program which now offers coverage for up to 7 years from the date
of vehicle delivery. This new initiative aims to make the ownership experience easy and stress-free for both new and existing customers.
New Warranty Plan
Previously, Kia’s extended warranty was limited to just 5 years. But with this latest initiative, the company now allows Kia owners who own models like the Seltos, Sonet, Syros, and Carens to enjoy car protection for additional two years. This also means customers can keep their vehicles protected against unexpected repairs and major maintenance costs for a full 7 years.
Existing Kia customers who already have the 5-year warranty can easily upgrade to the 5+2-year plan, starting at Rs 32,170 (excluding taxes). Meanwhile, new buyers can opt for the 7-year coverage directly at the time of purchase for Rs 47,249 (excluding taxes). Also this program is available at all authorized Kia dealerships across India.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Kia India, shared, “By extending our warranty coverage upto 7 years for both new and existing customers, we reaffirm our confidence in the durability and quality of our vehicles while providing continued support through our authorized service network. This initiative is part of our ongoing promise to deliver exceptional ownership experience and long-term value to every Kia customer.”

Why It Matters
Car repairs can be unpredictable and often expensive, especially as the vehicles age. A longer warranty not only helps owners save money on repairs but also boosts resale value, since a car under warranty is often more attractive to used car buyers.
This development and initiative by Kia shows that it focuses on customer satisfaction and long-term trust in the brand. The company has been steadily strengthening its after-sales service which ensures that owning a Kia is not just about owning some car for style and performance, but also about peace of mind and value for money.
With this 7-year warranty, Kia India has raised the bar for what car buyers can expect from their automakers.
