The Bajaj Pulsar 220F with dual-channel ABS has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.28 lakh, marking a key safety update for one of the brand’s longest-running motorcycles. With this update, Bajaj aligns the Pulsar 220F with current safety norms by adding dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle continues with its familiar semi-faired design and proven mechanicals, while also introducing minor cosmetic updates. This launch keeps the Pulsar 220F relevant in the 200cc segment for buyers looking for a fully-faired motorcycle with added braking safety.

What’s New In The Updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F

The biggest change on the updated Pulsar 220F is the addition of dual-channel

ABS, replacing the earlier single-channel setup. This enhances braking control by preventing wheel lock-up on both wheels during sudden braking. Bajaj has also introduced new colour options: Black Cherry Red, Black Ink Blue, Black Copper Beige, and Green Light Copper. The overall styling remains unchanged. The semi-faired design, projector headlamp, clip-on handlebars, and split seat layout continue as before.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Engine And Performance

Powering the Pulsar 220F is the familiar 220cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces 20.61 hp of peak power and 18.55 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The engine is known for its strong mid-range performance and highway cruising ability. Bajaj has not made any mechanical changes, ensuring the bike retains its established performance characteristics.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Brakes, Suspension, And Hardware

With the update, the Pulsar 220F now gets disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and uses a conventional perimeter frame, which remains unchanged from the previous version.

In terms of features, the Pulsar 220F continues with a semi-digital instrument cluster, bluetooth connectivity, projector headlamp, as well as LED taillamp.
