At EICMA 2025, Ducati pulled the wraps off the all-new Hypermotard V2, celebrating 20 years since the first Hypermotard prototype was shown to the world. The new bike carries forward the spirit of the original
but brings major updates on multiple fronts.
The Hypermotard V2 looks sharper and more aggressive than ever. It keeps the classic traits of the family: the high twin exhausts, compact tail, and upright stance. The V2 SP variant takes it a step further with lightweight forged wheels, fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, and a special 20th anniversary livery inspired by Ducati’s racing DNA.

Powering the bike is a new 890cc V2 engine, which Ducati claims is the lightest twin they’ve ever built at just 54.4 kg. It produces 120 hp and 94 Nm of torque, with most of that torque available from as low as 3,000 rpm. The engine also features Ducati’s IVT (Intelligent Variable Timing) system for smoother power delivery and quicker throttle response. Thanks to a 13 kg overall weight reduction compared to the previous generation, the Hypermotard V2 should feel significantly quicker and more agile. Shorter gear ratios should further add to its punchy mid-range.
Under the skin, the bike uses a new aluminium monocoque frame that uses the engine as a stressed member, improving rigidity and handling. The double-sided swingarm is derived from the Panigale V4, and the suspension setup on offer is Kayaba on the standard model and Ohlins on the SP. The ergonomics remain true to the supermoto character with a narrow seat, wide handlebars, and an upright riding position.

On the electronics front, Ducati has packed the Hypermotard V2 with everything you’d expect from a modern performance machine. It comes with a 6-axis IMU, Cornering ABS, Traction Control, Wheelie Control, and four riding modes. A 5-inch TFT screen provides all key information in three layout styles. The SP model adds Power Launch and a Pit Limiter.
