Nissan India is in the middle of executing its revival strategy in the country, with the launch of three new SUVs. After the recent unveiling of the Nissan Tekton C-segment 5-seater SUV, the Japanese carmaker
is now gearing up to reveal its B-segment 7-seater MPV on December 18. The B-MPV is expected to be Nissan's affordable alternative for families looking for a 7-seater under the Rs 10 lakh mark. Here are five realistic expectations that you should have from the new Nissan MPV for India.

Based on the teaser images, if you are wondering whether the new Nissan SUVs look similar to existing or upcoming Renault models, then do not be surprised. Both Renault and Nissan had entered the Indian market as joint venture partners and they have shared models earlier as well. Moreover, Renault took over complete control of Nissan's Indian manufacturing operations in April 2025. Hence, expect the Tekton to be based on the soon-to-launch Renault Duster and the upcoming B-MPV to be based on the current Renault Triber 7-seater.
With that in mind, we can get a pretty good idea of what to expect from the new Nissan B-MPV 7-seater. As the teaser image suggests, the front fascia, dimensions and silhouette of the B-MPV will be identical to the Renault Triber. This means it will probably come loaded with LED projector headlamps and a pair of LED fog lamps. We can expect the B-MPV to sport roof rails, front and rear scuff plates. A set of 15-inch alloy wheels and dual-tone exterior paint options will likely be offered to customers as well.
On the inside, the Nissan B-MPV could get an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 7-inch TFT instrument display and 21 standard safety features, including 6 airbags. Other features that are likely to trickle towards the B-MPV include cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system and the removable third row seats to open up more space in the 7-seater.
In terms of performance, it remains to be seen if the Nissan B-MPV will feature the same 1.0-litre, naturally-aspirated, petrol engine producing 70 hp and 96 Nm of torque, as the Renault Triber. While a 5-speed manual transmission can be expected, it remains to be seen if the Nissan B-MPV will offer the option of an AMT automatic as well.
