The Honda Activa e is an electric interpretation of the iconic Activa brand that started with the first-generation model in 2001. For years, the Activa brand has ruled Indian households, and now it has an electric counterpart, which adopts the trusted name to begin a new chapter. The Honda Activa Electric Scooter targets urban commuters and packs modern technology, including Honda's battery-swapping system, connected features and multiple riding modes. Here's everything you need to know about the Honda Activa e, including its range, top speed, battery, features and specifications.
Honda Activa e Battery, Range And Performance
The Honda Activa EV launch happened earlier in 2025. One of the biggest attractions of the model is its swappable battery. Rather than waiting to recharge, riders can
replace depleted batteries at Honda's battery swap stations, allowing them to get back on the road in about a minute. The scooter uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with 8.04hp and 22Nm. It gets its energy from two 1.5 kWh lithium-ion swappable battery packs, and has a certified IDC range of 102 kilometres on a full charge. The Honda Activa EV has a top speed of 80km/h and a 0 to 60km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds. It comes with three riding modes (Econ, Standard and Sport), and Reverse Mode that makes parking and manoeuvring hassle-free and simple in congested spaces.
Honda Activa e Design, Dimensions And Features
The Honda Activa e retains the clean and premium styling associated with the Activa badge. However, there are a few EV-exclusive elements to distinguish its identity. The Honda Activa electric scooter features LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED indicators and LED taillamps, along with body-coloured mirrors and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The scooter is available in five colour options: Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Misty White and Pearl Shallow Blue. It measures 1,854mm in length, 700mm in width and 1,125mm in height. The EV has a 1,310mm wheelbase, 171mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 119 kg.
For suspension, the electric scooter uses telescopic front forks and a 3-step adjustable hydraulic rear suspension. Stopping power comes from a 160mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum with Combined Braking System (CBS). The Honda electric scooter rolls on 12-inch tubeless tyres.
As for the features, the Activa e gets a 7-inch TFT display, a smart key, a USB Type-C charging port and a side-stand inhibitor. Honda has equipped the Activa e with its RoadSync Duo connectivity suite. This enables riders to access turn-by-turn navigation, live vehicle tracking, call alerts and music controls.
