Kia India has revised the Sonet prices as per the GST 2.0 tax reclassification implemented from September 22, 2025. As officially communicated by the company, entire tax benefits are being passed on to
its customers, thereby reducing ex-showroom prices for all variants of Sonet across India. The price cuts vary between approximately Rs 70,000 to Rs 1.64 lakh as per the trim and powertrain opted for by a prospective buyer, which makes the entry price significantly lower. This in turn makes the SUV a strong contender within the sub-4m compact SUV segment.

What Changed And Why It Matters
The GST 2.0 move has reduced the tax burden on many cars and so, manufactures like Kia updated their dealer prices to pass on the entire tax benefits to customers. This leads to smaller price gaps between the lower and higher trims of the Kia Sonet SUV, making it an even more attractive offering in one of the most competitive segment, wherein it has rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and the Tata Nexon. Also worth noting is that this price update is a purely tax-driven one, i.e., there are no mechanical changes associated with this revised pricing.
