In December 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 4,56,479 two-wheelers, including domestic sales and exports and this marks a 40.5 percent year-on-year growth compared to 3,24,906 units sold in December 2024. Breaking the numbers down by segment makes the picture even clearer.
Hero MotoCorp sold 4,02,374 motorcycles in December 2025, which is a 34.8 percent increase over the same month last year. Motorcycles remain the core of Hero’s business as they are popular among daily commuters, rural buyers and first-time riders.
Scooters, however, were the real growth stars as Hero sold 54,105 scooters in December 2025, registering 105 percent growth compared to December 2024. This surge shows increasing preference for scooters, especially in cities, due to ease of use, comfort and convenience for short daily rides.
Hero MotoCorp’s domestic sales stood at 4,19,243 units, growing by 42.5 percent compared to December 2024. Exports also performed well, as Hero shipped 37,236 units overseas in December 2025, which marked a 21.1 percent year-on-year growth. Growing exports highlight Hero’s expanding global presence and acceptance of its products in international markets.
Looking beyond just December, Hero MotoCorp recorded total dispatches of 16,96,777 units in Q3 FY26, reflecting a 15.9 percent growth compared to the same quarter last year. Motorcycle dispatches reached 15,12,255 units, while scooter dispatches jumped sharply to 1,84,522 units, showing 78 percent growth year-on-year. Domestic dispatches in Q3 FY26 stood at 15,94,592 units, while exports touched 1,02,185 units, delivering a strong 41 percent growth.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric brand, VIDA, continued to grow steadily. In December 2025, VIDA recorded 10,701 VAHAN registrations, achieving an 11 percent market share in the electric two-wheeler segment. This shows rising consumer trust in Hero’s electric offerings as more buyers look for eco-friendly and cost-effective mobility options.
