India’s luxury car market is growing steadily, and Mercedes-Benz has once again shown its strength in this space. The company recorded its highest-ever annual sales in India, selling 19,363 cars in FY 2025-26. This marks a strong performance and reflects rising demand for premium vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz also reported a solid start to the new year. In the first quarter of 2026, the company sold 5,131 cars, showing a 7% growth compared to the same period last year. This growth shows that demand remains strong across different segments of the brand’s lineup. One of the biggest reasons behind this success is the strong demand for top-end luxury cars.
Models like the S-Class, Maybach range, EQS SUV, and AMG performance cars continue to attract buyers. This segment grew by 16% in FY 2025-26 and now contributes a large share of total sales.Electric vehicles are also becoming more popular in the luxury segment. Battery electric vehicles now
account for 20% of total top-end sales, and this category has grown by 85% compared to last year.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV has become the brand’s best-selling electric model in India. This shows that even luxury buyers are now moving towards cleaner and more advanced technology.
