The Indian SUV market is revving up like never before and two of the recently launched models are making the buzz- the next-generation Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki’s brand-new flagship SUV, the Victoris.
While the Seltos has been a long-time favourite among urban buyers, Victoris is Maruti’s bold attempt to step into the premium SUV market with advanced technology, hybrid powertrains and futuristic features.
Here is the specification comparison between both the SUVs-
Design
The all-new Kia Seltos stays true to its iconic silhouette but looks sharper, wider and more muscular. Its Digital Tiger Face grille, Ice Cube LED headlamps, gloss-black bumpers and large 18-inch alloy wheels give it a sporty and premium feel. Higher variants also get flush door handles and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. Built on the K3 platform, it measures 4,460mm with a long 2,690mm wheelbase for improved cabin space.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris, meanwhile, takes a more futuristic route, as Maruti calls it “a vibe on wheels” and with 12 colour options and a layered, horizontal design, it certainly stands out. It also introduces two fresh shades- Eternal Blue and Mystic Green, making it appealing to younger buyers.

Cabin and Features
From the inside, the Seltos feels premium and plush. Its biggest highlight is the Trinity Panoramic Display, a long single-piece panel combining a 12.3-inch digital cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen. It also offers ventilated seats, a 10-way powered driver seat with memory, 64-colour ambient lighting, Bose speakers, and multiple colour themes depending on the variant.
The Victoris, on the other hand, goes deep into tech, as its 26.03 cm Command Centre touchscreen acts as a complete cockpit, with Alexa Auto voice control, access to 35+ apps and even online shopping directly from the car. It offers Dolby-powered Super Surround Sound, 64-colour ambient lighting and a smart-powered gesture tailgate, which is a segment-first feature.
Powertrains
Kia Seltos continues with three tried-and-tested engines- 1.5L Petrol (115 bhp), 1.5L Turbo-Petrol (160 bhp) and 1.5L Diesel (116 bhp). Transmission choices include manual, iMT, CVT, 7DCT and 6AT.
The Victoris focuses on versatility with three fuel options- Petrol, Strong Hybrid and CNG. This makes Victoris more attractive to buyers who prioritise fuel savings.
Safety
The new Seltos brings ADAS Level 2 in higher variants along with 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor and multiple sensors.
Victoris also offers ADAS Level 2, but with a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, which makes it one of Maruti’s safest cars ever. Features like lane assist, emergency braking and adaptive cruise control make it extremely city- and highway-friendly.
The All-New Kia Seltos is perfect for buyers wanting premium design, luxury interiors and powerful engine options. However, the Maruti Victoris is the better choice for tech-focused, modern buyers who want hybrid efficiency, futuristic features and top-notch safety.
