Deliveries for the newly launched Tata Motors Sierra SUV have begun on January 15 onwards. Buyers who are among the first 70,000 customers to pre-book the Sierra on December 16, 2025, will get deliveries of the SUV in a phased manner. The carmaker has promised that deliveries will be prioritised on first come first serve basis and not exclusively for those who have opted for the top-end variants. Here's everything you need to know regarding the waiting period for the Sierra, if you are considering to book one in 2026.
The Sierra SUV has been launched at an attractive starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh ex-showroom and will compete against popular rivals in the C-SUV segment, such as the Hyundai Creta and the 2026 Kia Seltos. Tata Motors has announced
four different trim levels for the SUV with the options of three different engines and transmissions. After receiving over 70,000 pre-bookings on the first day itself, the carmaker is expected to fulfill deliveries across all variants on a customer token basis and not prioritise top-end variant customers as a blanket rule.
In terms of waiting periods, Tata Motors claims that the Sierra customers would have to face a typical timeline that customers of other models also have to face. In terms of this carmaker, that translates into a 1-month to 2-month typical waiting period. By prioritising deliveries based on first come first serve basis, Tata Motors has ensured that potential buyers are exposed to all trim levels in a time-sensitive manner.
