Hero Nex 3 EV Concept: Urban- Focused Design
The Nex 3 EV concept features a narrow footprint and compact cabin, which is meant for dense urban streets and heavy traffic. Its bodywork reflects minimal overhangs and a clean glasshouse design. This intends to enhance the manoeuvrability and parking ease. The manufacturer describes the concept as an "all-weather personal EV", which is designed for everyday commutes, highlighting its purpose-driven design. The sketch previously also revealed a sliding door mechanism and large windscreen. These features are uncommon in micro-EVs but are well suited to the urban mobility challenge.
Hero Nex 3 EV Concept: Architecture Details
As part of Hero’s VIDA Novus initiative, the Nex 3 is positioned as an electric vehicle concept aimed at new mobility experiences rather than traditional car ownership. While Hero has not disclosed final battery capacity or production launch, it has claimed that the vehicle will deliver a blend of compact size and everyday usability.
What This Means For The Four-Wheeler Market?
If Hero moves into four-wheeler production, it can emerge as a significant player, especially in the “micro-EV” or city-EV category. The Nex 3 is aimed at those who find motorcycles impractical in certain conditions yet do not need a full-sized hatchback. Its arrival could trigger further innovation and competition among established manufacturers and new entrants in the compact EV space.

What To Look Out For
There still some details that remain under wraps and may become clear closer to launch. Production-readiness is still a question mark. While the concept sets the direction, final consumer rollout will depend on factors such as manufacturing readiness and market positioning.
For those interested in the development, the key milestones to watch will be the official announcement of production version, battery and range, and pricing details. If Hero executes this strategy, the Nex 3 could mark the start of a new chapter.
