Tata Motors is planning to launch the 2026 Tiago EV in India this year. There have been several spy shots circulating online from a recent testing, which show the all-new model in its production-ready avatar. This implies that the electric Tiago is in its final stages of development. Also, it is very evident that with this facelift, Tata wants to keep the entry-level, city-focused EV segment competitive. The facelifted Tiago EV, obviously, builds on the current-generation model's mechanical underpinnings and practicality. The Tiago EV definitely does not depart from the current silhouette. There will be sublte but visible changes. These will come in the form of reworked headlights and taillights, more sculpted front bumper, as well as a new LED setup. Apart from this, you can expect the car to ride on new 5-spoke wheels. The exterior paint jobs will be revised as well.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Mechanical Setup To Remain The Same

When it comes to the mechanical components, the Tiago EV will continue to offer the same battery packs as before. For those who don't know, buyers can choose from two battery pack options: a 19.2 kWh unit and a 24 kWh unit. The medium range battery delivers a power of about 61 bhp, while the long range option puts out close to 74 bhp of maximum power. The torque figures stand at 110 Nm and 114 Nm, respectively. The claimed driving range goes up to around 315 km. This facelift aims to keep the Tiago EV at par with other budget EV hatchbacks in the market like MG Comet and Citroen eC3.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Launch Timeline

The 2026 Tata Tiago EV will most probably arrive on the Indian market by late-2026. Once its launch date becomes clear, the bookings will commence around that time as well. It will be priced slightly higher than the current model due to feature and design revisions.
